01 My story
From IT intern to Director of Business Systems
I started as an IT intern at Xactly while studying Management Information Systems at San Jose State. Within two years I went from reimaging laptops and writing bash scripts to architecting Salesforce integrations and leading M&A data migrations. That trajectory set the tone for everything after.
I spent three years at OpenGov building cross-functional business systems, deploying Zuora Billing and CPQ, and creating end-to-end quote-to-cash processes across Sales, Finance, CS, and Professional Services. Then I joined Expel, a high-growth cybersecurity company, where I spent five years growing from Manager to Director of Business Systems and ended up leading a team of eight across every major business function.
Along the way I've been through an IPO, a PE acquisition by Vista Equity Partners, and multiple M&A integrations. I led the charge on enterprise AI adoption before most companies were even talking about it. I like defining clear processes where none exist, fixing the ones that drag, and finding ways to make operations genuinely run better.
